Art Leigh is the owner and primary instructor at the
Art of Pilates studio. He has been teaching and studying Pilates for over twenty-five years. Art has two certifications
in Pilates and is working towards a third. Art began taking pilates while a member the Utah Repertory Dance Theatre and continued
studying pilates in New York City while working with the Jose Limon Dance Company.
After completing his Masters of
Fine Arts in dance choreography from The Ohio State University, Art was an assistant professor of dance at the University
of Georgia where he taught kinesiology, pedagogy, dance history, Modern and Jazz dance techniques as well as pilates.
Art
holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in dance performance from the University of Utah as well as a Masters of Fine Arts degree
in choreography from The Ohio State University. In the field of dance, Art was trained in classical ballet, modern Dance
(Martha Graham and Jose Limon, and jazz dance (Mat Maddox, Luigi, and Gus Giordano).

and experience most teachers cannot offer. He is a gifted, adept, and caring teacher. With his coaching and great motivational

Kat Steers performs Elephant in Arabeques. Kat is one of the instructors at the Art of Pilates studio. She
comes to us from New York City where she danced with the famous "Radio City Rockettes" for over ten years. Kat holds a Bachelors
of Fine Art degree from North Carolina School of the Arts and is certified in "Stott" Pilates. What do most people think
after they finish a Pilates session with Kat? "This woman has a heart of gold". Besides being patient and warm, Kat brings
clarity to the Pilates movements, a talent many instructors do not possess.
